Benchmark

Benchmark is an audio based installation performance in which the audience are invited to explore different cardboard storage boxes - Each belongs to a character that speaks to them in monologue via recorded audio.

The piece consists of five boxes, each with around seven minutes of accompanying audio:

Tannenbaum - A bleakly eccentric family meets every summer to celebrate Christmas

Broken Record - A story of life growing up in Manchester, Thatcher and working in Dad's record shop

The Veil - A woman reminisces over her turbulent romance with music and a brawling poet name Ginger

Bits and Bobs - In a voicemail to his sister, Holden talks about packing all of his things up to move house.
